Episode 21 – Red Dead Rising Co-op

Michael is still having fun playing Assassin’s Creed 2 but has a few issues with the game.  Played a bit more of the relaxing PS3 exclusive Flower.  Listened to a few new albums including Volume Two by She & Him, Farewell Good Night’s Sleep by Lay Low, and The Airing of Grievances by Titus Andronicus.

James wanted to point out that Moon is currently available to stream on Netflix.  The multiplayer modes in Red Dead Redemption and Dead Rising 2 look freakin awesome.  Started playing Final Fantasy XIII and is attempting to finish it.  Watched the new and very slow noir The Missing Person on Netflix streaming.

Episode 20 – Inglourious Doors

James watched a few interesting titles on Netflix streaming like The Call of Cthulhu and Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.  Finally got around to watching Inglourious Basterds and really enjoyed it.  Played Mass Effect 2 quite a bit and has almost finished it.

Michael brought Fresco to his board game meetup and played it for the first time.  Made his way up to Denton to see Camera Obscura at Haileys.  Traded his copy of Heavy Rain for Uncharted 2 on Craigslist.  Started playing Demon’s Souls and then stopped about 45 minutes later.  Excited about the open world and the nice little touches in Assassin’s Creed 2.

Episode 19 – Netflix Niagara

Michael took a trip up to Buffalo, New York to visit family and enjoy a bit of Polish culture.  Saw Niagara Falls again and visited The Anchor Bar which is the birthplace of the chicken wing (buffalo wing to us Texans).  Played a few games with non-gamers including Zombie Fluxx, Wits & Wagers, and Ticket to Ride.

James ordered his free Wii Netflix streaming disk and you should too.  He has been using InstantWatcher.com to find all the best streaming media.

Episode 18 – Heavy Creed

Michael played a four player game of Tales of the Arabian Nights at his Borders meetup and it only took about 2 1/2 hours.  Played a few games of the archeology themed board game Thebes.  Watched Precious and found it pretty so-so.  Played the incredibly heavy economic board game Indonesia.  Started playing Heavy Rain on his brand new PS3 and beat it in just a few days.

James spent his week digging in his backyard and moving 6 cubic yards of dirt to build a wall.  During his recuperation, he started playing Assassin’s Creed 2 and loved it.  Beat the game in just a few days and completed 100% of the Xbox 360 achievements.  Pissed off that you can’t replay memories like you could in the original Assassin’s Creed.  What’s up with that Ubisoft?
